Le Canada Fran\u00e7ais<\/a>, page A-19.<\/p>\nFor 30 years, the Centre d’aide et d’accompagnement aux plaintes (CAAP) de la Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie has been recognized for its assistance to health and social services users. The mandate of CAAP, funded by the Minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 et des Services sociaux du Qu\u00e9bec, is to help and guide users who wish to file complaints with the commissioners and the Prorecteur du citoyen.<\/p>\n
Starting April 4, 2024, we’ll be bringing you a column every first Thursday of the month to better inform users of the health and social services network about their rights.<\/p>\n
Through twelve chronicles, several topics will be presented in the form of examples. These fictitious cases are all related to users’ rights. For example: the right to receive adequate services, the right to be accompanied, the right to be informed about one’s state of health and well-being, and so on. We’ll also be talking about abuse and reporting.<\/p>\n
In short, these stories will expose all kinds of situations related to establishments to which our mandate applies: CISSS, i.e. Centres int\u00e9gr\u00e9s de sant\u00e9s et de services sociaux (hospitals, CLSCs, nursing homes, youth centers, rehabilitation centers), addiction and pathological gambling resources, ambulance services, community organizations, nursing homes and private seniors’ residences.<\/p>\n

Simplifying, popularizing, facilitating and making things accessible are all part of the day-to-day work of the consultants at CAAP de la Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie. Also, since 2019, the Minist\u00e8re des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation has been offering Quebec’s CAAPs funding to inform, assist and accompany tenants of private seniors’ residences (RPAs) regarding any lease-related issues.<\/p>\n
