CAAP’s role and mandate Montérégie
CAAP Montérégie is an independent regional community organization, mandated by the Minister of Health and Social Services and pursuant to section 76.6 of the Act respecting health services and social services, whose functions are, upon request, (…) :
- Inform users of their rights and how the complaints system works,
- Assist and support users who wish to file a complaint with the Service Quality and Complaints Commissioner, or at 2nd instance with the Québec Ombudsman,
- And since April 2019, CAAP has received a mandate from the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation to inform and assist tenants in private seniors’ residences regarding the lease as well as their rights and obligations.
